William (Bill) Charles Campobasso, 81, of Republic, WA, passed away on January 7th, 2025, surrounded by loving family. Bill was born November 20th, 1943, in Nespelem, WA, the son of Lawrence Campobasso and Kathleen Stensgar Campobasso.

Bill graduated from Republic High School and went on to trade school in Tacoma, WA to learn welding. Bill worked for the Washington Department of Transportation for more than 30 years. During this time, he also served as a reserve Deputy and Emergency Medical Technician, helped senior citizens manage Medicare, and enjoyed learning about fingerprint technology. After he retired, he became a long-haul truck driver.

Bill was the kind of guy who "never met a stranger." He was full of stories and jokes and loved sweets. You could always find Bill with a faithful dog companion. Bill was a life-long member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Remaining to cherish Bill's memory are children, Denise (Charlie) Quarnstrom, Lisa (Steve) Doyle, Laurie Campobasso; grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Unser, Brandon Quarnstrom, Kodiak Doyle; and great-grandchildren, Ella Cordova, Caitlynn Quarnstrom.

Preceding Bill in death are parents, Lawrence and Kathleen Campobasso; brothers, Lawrence Junior, Ronald, and David Campobasso; and former wife, Rita Campobasso.

Rosary will be held Monday January 20th at 6:00 p.m., Funeral/Memorial services will be held Tuesday January 21st at 10:00 a.m., both will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 261 E. 7th Street, Republic, WA 99166.
