Wayne B. Pretts passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on November 13, 1951, Wayne lived a life marked by faith, service, hard work, and deep love for those closest to him.

Wayne served God and country proudly. His military service included tours in Vietnam with both the Navy and the Army, reflecting a strong sense of duty and commitment. He also built a life of steady work over many years, including time in Alaska, Wenatchee, and many years with Alcoa.

Beyond his service and work, Wayne’s greatest joy was found in his children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to him, and the time he spent with them brought him his deepest happiness. He also had a great passion for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing in Canada, Minnesota, and Okanogan County were among the pursuits he loved most, and they were a lasting part of the life he enjoyed so fully. Camo and Carhartt forever!

Wayne’s journey now continues in heaven, where he joins his grandson Chance and other loved ones who have gone before him. He is survived by his wife Sheryl, son Andy and wife Katie, daughters Katie & Heide, grandchildren; Logan, Makinlee, Hannah, Haylee, Taylor, Sydnie, and great-granddaughter Viviana.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him and in the many stories, traditions, and moments they shared with him. A private family service will be held at a later date.
