Viola Ballard's Obituary
Viola May Ballard, age 92, of Oroville died June 19th, 2018 at North Valley Hospital. Viola was born December 17th, 1925 in Arkansas to parents James and Leila Jane Smith.
She married Edmond Ballard September 6th, 1941, a marriage that lasted 69 years. During their early years, they followed fruit harvests from California to Washington, settling in Oroville in 1948 to raise the family. They especially liked camping and fishing with family. During the retirement years they traveled in their motor homes much of the US and Western Canada. Viola loved her home that she was able to remain at until very recently. She was the 8th of her 10 siblings, all of which she had outlived.
She is survived by her daughter Alice (Joe) Gregg, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 10 Siblings, Son Ray Ballard, Daughter Edna Gabriele, Daughter Rose Turner, Son Marion Ballard and one Great Grandson.
Inurnment will be at Oroville Riverview Cemetery with no services at this time. The family will get together later date. Please make memorials to any charity of your choice.
