Vada Hughes, 86, of Tonasket died on September 16, 1940 at North Valley Hospital in Tonasket. She was born on March 20, 1940 in Wenatchee to parents Ronald and Altha Hughes. The family moved to Omak in 1950 where they built and operated Hughes Floral. In 1975 they moved to Tonasket where Vada continued her love of flowers. In 2025 she retired after 60 years of working with flowers and growing plants. She was so proud of her sons who both graduated THS with honors. Vada was an avid fan and enjoyed watching the Mariners and Seahawks.

Vada is survived by two sons, Brian and Bradly and grandchildren Sierra and Jordan.

Vada will be laid to rest next to her family in Loomis Mt. View Cemetery.
