Stuart Earl Ramsey, 83, died January 26th, 2018 in Tonasket. He was born August 14th, 1934 in Auburn, WA to parents Earl and Christine (Burke) Ramsey. He attended school in Sultan, WA before joining the U.S. Naval Reserve, San Diego 33, California Selective Service. On July 23rd, 1954 he married LaDonna G. Thompson in Monroe, WA. On February 5th, 1959, he began work at Boeing Transport Division as a troubleshooter for Continental Airlines 707 Jet Stratoliners Qantas and Australian 707 Jet Stratoliners. Stu logged for 40+ years. He loved logging and had a logging company in Sultan, Leavenworth, and Tonasket. He also worked for Boeing in the offseason as a troubleshooter. He had a love of flying his Funk airplane and Cessna 140. He went into construction driving a dump truck and hauling machinery. He also operated different machinery. He also did National Farm Survey from 1990-1991. He had an organic cherry orchard at Spectacle Lake. He loved music and dancing. He bought an accordion and took lessons in Everett, WA. For many years he trained race horses and attended many racetracks in Washington and Canada. He loved sports and played football and basketball. He was a member of Church of God Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife LaDonna Ramsey, children; Jerry Stuart Ramsey, Terry Luther Ramsey, Gayla M. Zabreznik, and Jennifer A. Torgeson, siblings; Bonnie Whyte, Linda Bernathy, and Jack Clark, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held in the Spring.
