Sherron "Sherry" Cowman left her family with a legacy of love when she passed away on April 22, 2024 in Republic, Washington, following a short illness. Her last days were spent surrounded by her children and several of her grandchildren.

She was the first of five children born to Gordon and Loretta (Ham) Stevens on October 20, 1938 in Bozeman, Montana. She left Montana for Washington at the age of eighteen, where she spent the next 58 years in and around the Seattle area. In 2016 she moved to Curlew with the love of her life, Ernie Parrent.

Sherry is survived by Ernie Parrent, her daughter Victoria Jenness (Jim), her sons Greg Stephens and Michael Parrent, stepsons Randy Parrent and Phillip Cowman (Mary Ellen). In 1975 Sherry became "Granny" when her first granddaughter, Sheila Oldfield (Jeff) was born. Sheila was later joined by grandchildren; Kurtis Simmons, Jamie Webb (Rick), Melissa, Frederick, Shylea, and Michael, great grandchildren: Chelsea (Justin) Austin, Henry, William, and Bailey. Sherry also leaves her sister Sandy Lemke, brother Gordie Stevens (Jo), Mervyn Vahlbusch stepbrother, and her large circle of friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Stephens her first-born son, Rick Parrent stepson, Bonnie Arts and Ginger Olson, Roland Stephens (2015), her previous spouse and father to Douglas, Victoria, and Greg & husband Raymond Cowman (2014)

My mother once referred to our family as a quilt, many pieces sewn together with love.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday April 30th, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Republic Cemetery.
