Scott Floyd Cochran, 53 of Wenatchee, passed away peacefully in his sleep, June 22, 2014. Scott was born April 30, 1961 in Seattle, Washington, to Frank and Carolyn Cochran.
As a teenager, Scott spent summers in Alaska as a commercial fisherman. There he met Jayanne Neyman, his daughter (Nicole's mother), and they were together for 13 years. He later worked as a commercial painter, and started his own business working throughout Washington state. In 1994 Scott married Lorreena Broten, and adopted her children Jonathan, Trevor, and Tatiana. They were together for 15 years.
Scott loved to travel and lived in California, Nebraska, Oregon, Alaska, and Arizona, but always returned to Washington. For the past 5 years he lived in Wenatchee near his daughter and family.
Scott is survived by his mother, Carolyn Cochran; father, Frank Cochran; brothers, Darren Cochran, Brett Cochran, step brothers, Ian, Eron, Jeremie, Zac and step sister, Hillarie Cochran; daughter, Nicole (Miguel) Espinoza; grandchildren; Gabriel(9), Andrew(6), and Karym (2m) Espinoza; step children Jonathan, Trevor and Tatiana Broten; grandchildren, Breanna, Sammy, Enriecio, Evangelina, and Aahliyah; his friend and companion, his dog Mister.
Scott spent most of his time with his grandchildren, whom he loved so much. He taught them how to ride their bikes, catch their first fish, took them camping, played sports with them and took care of the boys during the summers while their parents worked. He enjoyed his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and delighted in taking them fun places and showering them with candies and other goodies. His motto was: "Money cannot buy happiness and that it's all the little things in life that matter most." He was right!
Scott will be missed by his survivors, and many many more relatives and friends. PEACE...
A celebration of life ceremony will be held in honor of Scott on July 27th, 2014 in Westport, Washington at the McCausland Hall 2201 Westhaven Dr.
