Sandra June Anderson, 79 of Wauconda, WA

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Sandra June Anderson, a most beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and best friend. She entered into Jesus Christ’s loving arms on June 1st, 2026.

Born on March 13th, 1947 in Orange Co., California, she graduated from Laguna Beach High School in 1965 and went on to nursing school. She married her soul mate, David Anderson, in Carson City, NV. November 15, 1975. She lived in Oak Run, CA with her husband then moved to Port Ludlow, WA where she raised her family. She retired to Mallott, WA and enjoyed her beautiful home and garden there for many years. In 2010, Sandy and her family purchased Bonaparte Lake Resort together and she became an icon for her baking and recipes. Sandy was an amazing cook. She is well known for many of the incredible recipes still used today at Bonaparte Lake Resort. She was a huge fixture at the resort and there are many fond memories of the moments that were shared. Her famous cheesecake recipe is still known county, state and nationwide as one of the best ever tasted, customer approved! Her old-fashioned bread pudding is still always a sellout.

Sandy led a full and amazing life with her family. Always providing a nurturing place for so many that were in need. She was a caregiver at heart and between career and family, she always provided care and love for those in need. Sandy was a selfless soul who always put others before herself. She was so much more to all who knew her. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that anybody could ever hope or wish for.

Sandy had an amazingly sharp wit and the best sense of humor. She could always take a hard situation and make you see the bright side, and then laugh a little. She knew that the smaller things in life meant so much. She would send little love notes on her husband’s and children’s lunch napkins and after all these years, these are still some of our favorite memories. These little gestures are a legacy that will live on throughout all of her generations.

We are so thankful for all the years we got to spend together and we will always remember that she was always there for others, no matter what. The void that is felt from this loss will be impossible to fill. For those that were fortunate enough to have known her, she was so special, a kindred soul and so full of life. There will never be another like her.

She is survived by her husband David Anderson, children: Lyle Anderson and Heather Cruz, grandchildren: Halla Dunkin, Brinelle Anderson, Grey Cruz, Sage Fuhrman and Corbin Cruz & great-grandchildren: Anna and Waylon Dunkin. Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved son, Daniel Anderson.

She will be missed immensely. We are all comforted by knowing that she is at home in heaven and free from the earthly struggles. A private burial will be held this week and a celebration of life is planned on Saturday July 11th, 2026 at Bonaparte Lake Resort.
