Obituary

Roy was the youngest of 7 siblings, he grew up and graduated high school in Tonasket and shortly thereafter joined the US Army Signal Corp. He returned to Eastern Washington and purchased ranch land near Loomis where he met Claudine who became his soul mate for life and beyond! They married April 12, 1958.
In the mid-sixties they traded in their baler on a 66 Pontiac and made their way west to Bellingham, purchased land and built their home. Employed as a carpenter, Roy's attention to detail and integrity showed bright in every endeavor he pursued.
Roy's care and dedication for his wife Claudine during her final years was a testament to his love for her. Promises made between Roy and Claudine were honored with grace and dignity as she passed in the home they shared for over 30 years in 2008.
The years following were spent exploring new activities that maintained his physical health and mental acuity. He traveled with friends and became very adept with computer skills. He adapted well to the use of cell phones and texting, making it easier to keep up with the world.
Roy lived a wonderful, full life. He spoke of family and friends with fondness. He was not without opinion, but turned most conversations into wonderful wisdom, knowledge and advise. His true wish for all was happiness and success.
With much loving care he passed away in his own home that he loving built with his soul mate Claudine.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 11:00 AM at the Tonasket Cemetery.
