Obituary

Roxy went home to her Lord on June 24, 2019. She passed away at home in the loving arms of her husband surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Roxy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jan; daughter Angela (Steven), daughter Lynnette Jellison, son Jan K. Jellison, and daughter Kristi Jellison.

Roxy was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Edna Scott, sister Helen Roark, grandson David, and daughter-in-law Leslie.

Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her 7 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. Baking Christmas cookies was one of their favorites. Roxy was born in Monroe, WA and later graduated from Monroe High School in 1964. She met her one true love Jan and they married July 25, 1964. In the earlier years, Roxy and Jan raised their young family in Monroe before moving to Snohomish in July of 1969.

Roxy was a loving and caring wife, mother, & sister. She loved her family deeply; there wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them.

Roxy loved to go on family vacations, fishing, camping, backpacking, & road trips to the coast.

In Roxy's later years she loved to travel with her husband Jan. They traveled to see their children & grandchildren. The traveled and enjoyed many wonderful vacations; just the two of them.

Roxy's joys were her gardens, volunteering as a teacher's aide for her children. She chaperoned many FFA Horticulture trips and was a campfire leader.

Roxy's passion for flowers led her to a career in the horticulture industry. She was admired and respected by her peers, many becoming life-long friends. She worked for Mountain View Greenhouses, Shinoda Floral, & Flower World. During her career Roxy worked alongside her children.

Roxy retired in 2006 and moved to Republic, WA with her husband. The two purchased 20 acres, spent time gardening, growing vegetables in their greenhouse, enjoyed family campouts & holidays. Special moments were shared while enjoying walks on their property.

Roxy's life was full of love beginning in 1963. Her Prince asked her to the soda shop; the love story began. A true love story that has stood the test of time. A love story you only read about. Mama, we are blessed to have been witness to and be a part of such pure love. Our hearts are heavy, as you leave a void in our lives. There will never be another as precious wife, mother and grandmother as you've been to us. We love you with all our hearts and for all eternity.

A memorial service for Roxy will be held in September in Republic at Legacy Acres, date and time to be determined.
