Ronald E. Peterson, age 80, of Oroville, Washington, passed away on December 17, 2025, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Ron was born on August 27, 1945, to Don and Margaret Peterson. He was raised in Oroville and graduated from Oroville High School in 1964. On October 31, 1964, he married Sandra Hill in Oroville, beginning a lifelong partnership.

Ron entered the United States Army, serving in Korea, and was honorably discharged. Following his military service, he returned to Oroville, where he purchased an apple orchard before transitioning into real estate. He and Sandy later became the owners of Windermere Real Estate in Oroville and retired in 2020.

Ron was especially fond of his El Camino, which many remember seeing in the May Day Parade over the years. He deeply loved his home, where he found great joy watching wildlife wander through the property. He was a proud member of the Oroville American Legion.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sandy Peterson; his son Larry (Elizabeth) Peterson; and his grandson, Justin (Charly) Peterson. He is also survived by his siblings Dan, Bob, and Dorothy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Margaret Peterson, and his brother, John Peterson.
