Robert L. Zerck Sr. age 80 of Malo passed on October 21, 2016 peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born October 1, 1936 in Faribault, Minnesota to parents Lloyd and Dorothy Zerck where he attended one year of college prior to enlisting in the Army. He then served eight years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962. He became a teamsters and operating engineer member and drove truck. He married Jeannie in January of 1965. He moved his family to Curlew in 1973 where he became a rancher, logger and construction business owner.
He is survived by his wife Jeannie at home, children Linda Hogue of Mesa, AZ, Lesa Gregory of Curlew, Lori Cedarstrom of Cave Creek, AZ, Bobby Zerck of Malo and Robyn Turcott of Ione, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill and sister Betty.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 1:00 PM at the Curlew High School with Mick Fraser officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Curlew Cemetery. Following the services at the cemetery everyone is invited to return to the school for a potluck luncheon. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Spokane or a charity of your choice.
