Robert "Bob" Sly was born in Seattle, Washington 1946 to Dorothy and Clark Sly. He grew up
being active in the Presbyterian church youth group and in the local youth center playing
baseball. He met Janet Fix through the church where they were married in January, 1967 and
soon after moved to Bothell, Washington. Bob worked for the US Postal Service at Sea Tac
airport and as a volunteer Fireman for Bothell while his kids, Sara and Jeff Sly grew up. He
enjoyed time with family, camping, building or fixing things and helping others. Bob and Janet
retired to their dream home in Republic Washington in 2001 where Bob worked for a few years
on the EMS Board and joined both Kiwanis and a camping group. Bob also enjoyed playing
bunco and having Sunday brunch with friends. A memorial celebration will be held in May.
