Robert Eugene Hottell, age 85, of Curlew, WA passed away September 13, 2021 in Republic, WA. He was born July 13, 1936 in Orofino, Idaho to Rolfe and Barbara Hottell. He lived in Orofino until age 10 when the family moved to Curlew, WA where he attended school and met his wife, Betty Brown. They were married 65 years. He loved and adored her more than anything. They had 2 children, Robert & Kerry.

He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and friend to many. He worked at the sawmills, farming, and the Ferry County Road Department for 30 years which he retired from. He had many talents from mechanic, carpenter, plumber, electrician – he could do it all! He was a hard worker and had a kind heart. He was always willing to help family, friends and neighbors. When his work day was done, his house was always open for happy hour. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Betty, children Robert (Kim) Hottell & Kerry (Mike) Carlson, sister Jan (Jim) Menelly, step-sister Beth (Ray) Holmes, step-brother David (Janet) Hottell, grandchildren: Joni (Orin) McCully, Ryan (Crystal) Hottell, Crystal (Shane) Davis, Jessie (David) Webb, & Michelle (Levi) Perry, great-grandchildren: Nicole, Grant, Nolan, Dakota, Taylor, Chloe, Avery, Lukas, & Lily.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jim Hottell.
