Noel Aldred Foster, age 94, of Tonasket, Washington passed away on October 6, 2023.
Al was born in Japton, AR October 25, 1928. As a young boy growing up he liked to be outdoors; fishing, hunting, trapping, and enjoying adventures on his horse Dolly.
Al served in the Korean War as a Sergeant from January 1951 through November 1952. After his tour of service, he and his whole family moved to Pateros, WA. He met Darlene in Pateros. They were married January 15, 1955. From this union was born Lorena, Allene, and Janet.
In 1961, they moved to Tonasket and later purchased an apple orchard.
Years later, they sold the apple orchard and Al went to work for the USDA, as an Animal Damage Control Specialist, from May 1987 through April 2002. He then retired and spent his time fishing as that is what he did best.
He was a former member of the NRA and Okanogan Valley Bass Club for many years.
He is survived by his wife Darlene, daughters Lorena Brownlee, Allene Poland (Steve), and Janet Montanye, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister Yvonne Mathews, and numerous nieces and nephews. Al is preceded in death by his parents, sister Wilma Pennington, brothers Eldon Foster, Wayne Foster, son-in-laws Dan Brownlee and Dale Montanye.
Al's life will be celebrated at the Tonasket Eagles on Saturday, October 21st at 1:00 pm.
