Mary Ann Chamberlin age 84 of Oroville died on Friday, June 21, 2013 at North Valley Extended Care in Tonasket. She was born on April 15, 1929 in Leavenworth, Washington to parents Earl and Janet Harris. Mary Ann grew up in Okanogan, graduating from Okanogan High School in 1948. Following graduation, she attended nursing school and then beauty school. In 1958, she moved to Oroville where she worked as a hairdresser before opening her own salon, Powder Puff Beauty Salon. Mary Ann also worked for many years as a cook, mainly at FAO,S Restaurant. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling and gaming and in later years enjoyed going to the Oroville Senior Center where she would have lunch, visit with friends and play bingo.
