Marilyn Jo
(Parker) Imhoff/Sides/Mcclellan
June 3, 1935 – January 26, 2024
Marilyn was born to Joe and Stella Parker on June 3rd, 1935 in Bridgeport, WA. She moved to Oroville, WA as a young child with her parents, brother Dale and sister Marjory. She spent her childhood riding horses in the hills with friends, spending time with her father at his barber shop, playing in the band, and singing in the choir. While in high school she met and later married Robert (Bob) Imhoff. Bob joined the Army during the Korean war and they moved to El Paso Texas. When his service was complete, they moved back to Oroville, later acquired orchards in Oroville/Tonasket and throughout the next few years had 3 children: Cheryl, Jay, and Tim.
The Imhoff's lived on the ranch in Tonasket, operated orchards, ran cattle and later, fishing boats in Westport WA. The family enjoyed the great outdoors, horses, snowmobiling and the company of family and friends. In 1973, Bob passed away and Marilyn continued to run the business and raise her children. Throughout her life Marilyn took chances on love and lived life on her terms, unfailingly resilient and positive when life was difficult. She married Allen Sides on 5/20/78. They had the Tonasket NAPA store, built a beautiful home and enjoyed music, camping and boating. She cared for him throughout his battle with ALS until his passing on 8/17/81. Marilyn later married Red McClellan. Together they ran the Ellisforde Mall and enjoyed boating, music, and playing pinocle. After his passing in 1991, she continued to run the store. In 1996, Marilyn moved to Wenatchee and lived with her daughter Cheryl and granddaughter Amy. She lived with Cheryl until her passing in 2022. She was unwaveringly proud of her family. Her favorite times were when they could all be together. She loved watching her grandchildren grow and was very proud of their character and accomplishments.
She was also a loyal friend and confidant to many. Marilyn spent her last 18 months residing in Blossom Creek Memory Care in Wenatchee. On January 26th, 2024, she passed away with family at her side, listening to The Beatles "I Want To Hold Your Hand". It was a peaceful end to a life lived with tenacity and gusto. She is survived by her son/daughter in law Jay & Di Imhoff of Spokane, WA, her son/daughter in law Tim & Kim Imhoff of Boise, ID, her grandchildren: Amy, Chelsy, Ross, Jaime, Shelley, and Brian and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Marilyn's strength, positivity, and loving nature will continue on through her family and friends she touched throughout her life.
