Obituary

Margaret (Peggy) Visser, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 25th at Orchard County Manor in Tonasket, Washington. She was born the eighth of ten children on January 9, 1927 to parents Vernon and Ruth Robinson. Peggy spent her childhood in the house where she was born north of Ellisforde, WA, graduating from Oroville High School in June of 1945. On November 25, 1945 she married Roy A. Visser. After spending a winter at the Visser ranch at Havillah, they purchased an apple orchard near Ellisforde, Washington. They lived there for 35 years, working hard and raising five children; Larry, Fred, Dan, Patty and Linda. After retirement in 1980, they moved to town where Peggy lived until moving to Assisted Living in March of 2010. She then moved to Orchard County Manor in December of 2010. She is survived by children Larry Visser of Hood River, OR, Fred (Linda) Visser of Omak, Dan (Sharon) Visser of Gearhart, OR, Patty (Mel) Schertenleib of Tonasket and Linda (Vern) Town of Entiat; grandchildren Brian (Laurel) Visser, Melanie (Jeff) Bissonette, Theresa (Jim) Cich, Rachael (Brad) Grothen, Kasey (Samantha) Schertenleib, Kory (Stephanie) Schertenleib, Lori Visser, Jennifer Visser, Julie Visser, Michael Town; and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Ivan (Edna) Robinson of Kettle Falls, Al (Mary Alice) Robinson of Tonasket, Roland (Cherie) Robinson of Spokane and Leland (Irene) Robinson of Tonasket. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 2001, her parents, Vernon and Ruth (Verbeck) Robinson, brothers Neil, Norris, and Rob Robinson and sisters Eva Byrd and Esther Robinson. SERVICES A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Hope Lutheran Church in Tonasket.
