Luz Maria Gonzales, age 74 of Ellisforde died May 8, 2013 at home. She was born
November 19, 1938 in Ibarra, Guanajuato, Mexico to Bruno and Juanita (Rodriguez)
Flores. In August 1955 she married Cirilo Gonzales in Texas. They moved to
Ellisforde in 1962 and in 1977 moved to their home where she resided. Luz
worked for many years as an apple packer in different warehouses. A major
accomplishment for her was becoming a US citizen. She studied very hard for
this and was proud of this achievement. She was a board member of the
farmworker clinic and a lifetime member of the Okanogan Co-op. Luz loved
traveling, walking, gardening, and reading. She enjoyed attending and was a long
time member of the Ellisforde Church of the Brethren where she also served as
the caretaker for many years

Luz was
preceded in death by her parents
Memorial services will be held
Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ellisforde Church of the Brethren
with Pastor James Yaussy Albright officiating. A potluck luncheon will follow.
