Lola Mavis Grimm age 91 of Republic died on Monday, July 14, 2014 at  Mid Valley Hospital in Omak.  She was born March 30, 1923 in See, South Dakota to parents James and Ellen Longland.  On December 25, 1940 she married Alvin Ralph Grimm in Omak and together they had two sons, Ronnie and Bob.  In 1954, the family moved to Republic where they lived until retirement in 1984.  They then moved to Cheney where they stayed in the summers and wintered in Arizona until Alvin passed away in 2003.  Lola then lived in Spokane until 2009 when she moved to Republic to be closer to her family. She was a member of Ferry County Country Club.

She is survived by one son, Robert and wife, Joanne Grimm

Sisters:  Willma and husband Marlow Sattler, Jan Longland, and Wanda Roth

Brother:  Harlen and wife Pat Longland

8 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild

Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ralph Grimm; one son, Ronald Dean Grimm; sister, Carrie Fairchild and brother and sister in law, Chuck and Patra Longland

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014  11:00 AM at Bergh Funeral Service in Republic with a luncheon to follow at the Ferry County Fairgrounds.  Memorials may be made to Lilac Blind Foundation, 1212 N Howard St, Spokane, WA 99201
