Leon Fritz Sr., age 79, of Oroville passed away November 12, 2011 in Wenatchee. He was born February 23, 1932 in Matador, Texas to Taylor and Nanny (Martin) Fritz. In Texas he worked in oil fields and on dairy farms. On November 16, 1952 he married Helen Hybner in Jourdanton, Texas. Leon moved his family to Oroville, working in the fruit industry. He ran an orchard in Oroville and later another at White Stone. He loved fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He had many friends in the area. Everyone who knew him loved his stories and tall tales. He was either "grandpa" or "Pa Pa" to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Friday, November 18, 2011, at 1:00 P.M. at the Bergh Chapel with Pastor Karen Davison officiating.
