Obituary

Kristan Alida Utigard, 42, Spokane, passed away unexpectedly June 17, 2018. While cause of death is unknown, she had a history of asthma & congestive heart failure. Kris was born July 1, 1975, in Omak, WA, to Janice (Featherly) Utigard & Michael Utigard. Kristan attended school in Omak graduating from high school in 1994. She was active in school as a cheerleader & ASB Secretary. She attended EWU studying education. Kristan was a stay at home mom. Her two children Owen William, 18, & Violet Lane, 4, were her world. Kristan's partner of 9 years, Brett Hay, loved, cared, & provided for them. They enjoyed many summers at Brett's cabin at Twin Lakes. Kristan is survived by her children Owen & Violet; life partner Brett; parents Jan & Lance Hope; sisters Andrea "Andi" Utigard, Gabrielle Hope-Foucault (Paul); Meghan Hope-Woolsey (Tim); brother Aaron Utigard (Marisa); and grandmother Bernice Featherly. She cared deeply for her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and close friends.
Kristan was preceded in death by her grandparents John Featherly, Jack & Nora Gavin; father Michael Utigard; & uncle Fred Utigard.

The service for Kristan will be Friday, June 29, 2018, 2:00 pm, Tonasket Cemetery, Hwy 7, Tonasket, WA.
