Joyce Arlene Gregory, age 87, of Keller, WA died September 28, 2024 at the Coulee Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1937 in Nespelem, WA to parents Harry & Faye Martin. Joy grew up in the San Poil Valley and at the age of 17 she entered into a 22-year marriage to Airman Frank Stillings with whom she settled in New Hampshire; together they welcomed five children. In 1976, Joy returned to Colville, WA but would soon move to Keller to assist parents, Harry & Faye Martin. Joy married Doug "Butch" Gregory in 1982 and they remained together until his death in 2018. Joy worked for the Colville Confederated Tribes for nearly 30 years; she was with EMS, the CCT Police Department, the Nespelem Convalescent Center, the Library, and the main building. An "expert crossword magician", Joy loved to read as well as sew and craft. She was a collector of teapots, roosters, earrings, angels, and any "shiny-pretty" knick-knack that caught her fancy. She will be remembered for her generous gifting and her shared wisdom; recollections of family genealogy and the San Poil history were loved topics.

She is survived by her children: Michael Stillings, Randy Stillings, Karole Stillings-Godes, Daniel Stillings, and Karen Stillings-Bollefer, 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husbands Frank Stillings, Jim Phillips & Douglas "Butch" Gregory; siblings Alice May "Ginger" Davidson, Angeline Sumner & Frederick "Rick" Martin; god-brothers Morgan Jannot & Bob Jannot;  nephews Marvin Sumner, Charlie Ray Gregory & Donald Gregory and granddaughter Ruby Stillings.

A memorial service will be held Saturday October 12, 2024 at 10AM at the Keller Community Center with inurnment to follow at the Keller Community Cemetery.
