Jason
Freese
December 14, 1983 – October 22, 2025
Jason Robert Freese (Bird) 41 of Oroville passed on October 22, 2025 in Oroville. He was born December 14th 1983 in Wenatchee. Jason was a loving husband, father, son and friend whose kindness, humor and adventurous spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. Jason lived life to the fullest and had a knack for finding joy in the simple things; a day spent in the mountains, a trip to the river or an afternoon tinkering in his shop. From a young age, Jason had a deep love for anything with an engine. He was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything and he took great pride in his work and in helping others. Whether Jason was building souped up lawn mowers, dreaming up new gadgets or lending a hand to a friend in need, he put his whole heart into everything he did. His creativity and determination were matched only by his generosity and willingness to share his skills. Outside of his work, Jason's greatest joy came from his family and friends. He always found a way to make those he loved laugh and feel cared for. He was happiest when surrounded by his family, friends and dogs out in nature under the open sky he loved so much. Jason will be remembered by his big heart, his helping hand and the ability to bring everyone together.
Jason is survived by his spouse Serena Carper, his mother Kay Tavitas, children Tyler Anders and Kya Freese, brothers and sisters Marsha Tanis, Jessica Baker, Patricia Gess and Patrick Gess, nieces and nephews Katie, Tiana, Annalyce, Brayden, Micheal, Robbie, Stacy and Ember.
Jason was preceded in death by grandmother Sharon Hensey, grandfather Lawrence Freese and uncles Todd Hensey, Chip Freese, Rabbit Freese and Randy Kallstorm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 1:00PM at the Oroville Grange Hall. This will be a potluck so please bring a dish or dessert and a story to share about Jason.
