Obituary

James (Jim) Robert Blair passed away peacefully at his home on April 19th, 2026 at the age of 78.He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, a trusted friend, and a pillar of his community.Jim spent much of his career as a produce manager at his local grocery store, where he became a familiar and friendly face to countless customers. He took pride in his work and in the relationships he built always greeting others with warmth and sincerity. Beyond his work, Jim was deeply invested in the lives of those around him. As a coach, he mentored and encouraged young people, leaving a lasting impact not only on their skills but on their character. He believed in showing up, putting in the effort, and supporting others—values he lived out every day. Jim had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and simple joys in life. He loved riding his motorcycle, feeling the freedom of the open road, and spending quiet hours fishing. He found peace in watching the stars and enjoyed time on the golf course as well as feeding the birds and squirrels watching them from his patio. In his younger years, he embraced challenges with energy and determination, running marathons, cycling long distances, and playing competitive softball. Above all, Jim will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and his ability to make people feel valued. He was a friend to many, a source of strength to his family, and someone who truly cared about his community and the people in it. His quick, big smile and storytelling were legendary. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the lives he touched and the love and laughter he gave so freely. Goodbye from your old produce guy--"Glad you got to see me."

Jim is survived by: his wife of 27 years, Deborah Blair, son Jerod (Sharon) Blair, daughters Stacy (Randy) Lloyd; Vannessa (Noe) Newell; Krystal (Mac) Carroll; and an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Esther Blair; and his brother Johnny Reynolds. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
