Obituary

Harold William Lutz died on Sunday, August 12, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born October 20, 1923 to William and Etta Lutz of Clover, Idaho. He married Paula Meyer of Clover in November of 1943 and they moved to Jerome, Idaho where they worked his dad's farm. In 1955, he brought his family to Quincy, Washington and lived and farmed until 1963 when he sold out and purchased the Damon Fields ranch at Torboy. He worked the ranch until 1972 when he sold it and became an electrician and carpenter. He built several homes in the Republic Area.
Harold was an active member of the Lutheran Church in Republic for 49 years. He enjoyed woodworking and had a gift for finding water and dowsed many wells in the Republic area. He loved family gatherings. His sense of humor and teasing were just a part of his playful, memorable personality. He loved to dance and square dance with Paula. There are many words to describe Harold such as loving, giving, wise and a man of strong faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus. He loved telling stories and put on many miles riding his favorite horse. A former pastor and friend said, "Harold didn't say a lot, but when he did you listened". His legacy will be honored and will live on through his family and friends.

Harold is survived by his wife, Paula at home; his four children and their spouses, Ron and Sharon of Sandpoint, Idaho, Gary and Georgia of Aberdeen, Rick and Gigi of Republic and Jan and Glen Krieger of Loon Lake; eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Lautenschlager of Simi Valley, CA and one brother, Ken Lutz and his wife Barbara of Sandpoint, Idaho
