Obituary

Skip was born in Tonasket to C.A. and Edna Burbank on Nov. 18, 1939. The Burbank family moved to Republic in 1945 where they operated the Willowmoor Dairy.

In his younger years, Skip had a love for farming alongside his dad, competing in rodeo and pony express and hunting. After finishing school, Skip enlisted in the U.S. Army and was proud to serve his country.

He spent his working years as a heavy equipment operator, and retired as foreman of the Ferry County Road Department. Once retired, Skip and Rosa-Lee bought their first racehorse and successfully raced for many years.

Skip is survived by his wife, Rosa-Lee, of 59 years; daughters Kelly Burbank Ross (Wade), Tracey Burbank and Shannon Jensen (Jon); son Dan Van Camp; brother Russell Burbank (Nancy); sister Norma Fox; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters Arloa, Muriel, Jay, Art, Frances, Juanita, Lois and Gary; granddaughters Andrea and Jessica; grandson Dustin and great-grandson Nash.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Republic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Republic Cemetery Association.
