Guy Kaipo Goodness, 76 of Wauconda, Washington, passed away
on March 16, 2017 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, Washington.
Kaipo was born on September 27, 1940, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Charlotte Saffrey and Stanley Guy Goodness.
Guy grew up in Kihei on the island of Maui, In the Hawaiian Islands. He attended Henry Perrine Baldwin High School in Wailuku, Maui, served in the Armed Forces of the United States in Vietnam. He helped train new students in various disciplines of martial arts under Kaito Gakko College in Hawaii and further studied Lima Lama, an ancient art and discipline of Polynesian self defense.
Later moving to the mainland United States, Guy studied at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno Nevada. Guy was an outstanding Guitar and Ukulele Player and his voice has been heard around the world playing various Types of music, but in particular, the music of Hawaii.
Guy worked as and operating engineer with heavy equipment prior to his subsequent retirement and move to Wauconda, where he was a self employed cattle rancher and
Horse trainer.
Guy is survived by his wife Teresita Goodness, brothers and sisters: Nelson Goodness, Lisa Goodness, Tressy Goodness, Michelle Ochoa, Landi Goodness-Campbell, Stanley Kaipo Goodness, Cheryl Miller, Gailberta Kimi, Karen Kimi, Janice Yang, and Kandy Rayman. Children: Randolph Guy Goodness, Lori Lynn Goodness, Benjamin Guy Goodness, Kimo Guy Goodness, Shaun Kelly Kaipo Freiman, and Makalapua Kaipo Goodness, and 10 grandchildren.
Guy was preceded in death by his parents, son David Guy Goodness, and sister Sharon Valetta.
