Franklin Joseph Geisler passed away in Oroville, WA on January 5, 2026. Born in Port Angeles, WA to Louis E. and Elizabeth L. Geisler on August 9, 1943 along with his twin brother, Louis Edward, JR. Frank attended St. Patrick's elementary, Jason Lee Middle School (which is named after a distant relative) and Stadium High School in Tacoma, WA.
Frank was enlisted in the Navy from November of 1962 to November of 1968 honorably serving aboard the USS Salisbury Sound seaplane tender as Radioman second class. He saw service in the North West Pacific, Manilla Bay, Da Nang Vietnam, and Thailand to name a few. After Frank's discharge he began his career with Pacific Northwest Bell working in Seattle where he met and married Susan K. Paine in 1971. Moving to Elma, WA, Grayland, WA and after 35 years retiring in Oroville, WA where they enjoyed time between their Lake Osoyoos home and their property near Molson, WA. They traveled in their motorhomes to Oregon and the Canyonlands taking special interest in birdwatching, rock hunting, and Indian artifacts. Frank was known as quite a character and prankster. He excelled in electronics, ham radios, morse code and built his own speed keys, also blogging in the early 2000's about his radio equipment and about his days in the Navy aboard ship. Frank had interests in photography, astronomy, firearms, and working on his "ranch" and was never without a trusted dog by his side.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Susan, his parents, Lou and Betty Geisler and his twin brother, Lou. He is survived by his sisters Teresa (John) Norberg, Jean (Phil) Dickson, Dianne (Andy) Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.
