Illa Marie Maden

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Illa Maden and Arnie Maden.

Illa was born on 11/17/1940 and passed away on 12/08/2022 in Desert Hot Springs, California.

Arnie was born on 11/10/1936 passed away 03/27/2026 in Riverside, Washington.

Arnie and Illa started their married life together on 6/14/1958, beginning their loving partnership that lasted almost 64 years. Arnie spent the early years of their marriage in the US Navy. He received many awards and medals during his service time. He also spent several years working for Boeing from which he retired. Together they owned and operated a few gas stations in the Seattle area. Illa spent the majority of her working time in managerial and accounting positions. They both kept close ties with their faith and the church with Arnie being a pastor for several years. He had several trips as a missionary to other countries while Illa held down the fort at home while working and caring for their two boys, Arnold Lee and Paul Allen Maden.

Once it was time to retire, they moved to Desert Hot Springs, California where they were closer to Illa's brother John. Illa continued working accounting positions and Arnie got to explore the golf courses.

They are survived by their sons, Arnold Lee and Paul Allen Maden. Arnie's sister, Mary Neal, Omak, WA, brother Mark Maden, Libby, MT and sister Barbara Zuvich, Elma, WA.

They are preceded in death by both sets of parents, Illa's brother John from California. Arnie's brothers Laval Maden from Tonasket, WA and Al Maden from Tonasket, WA. As well as a couple siblings who died as infants.

There will be a memorial on Saturday May 16th at 11:00 at the Lebam Church located at 2336 State Rte 6, Raymond Washington with Steve Jones officiating.
