Dorothy Carmen Majors age 70 of Tonasket died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the home she shared with Bill Howe. She was born in Syndey, Montana to parents Ruby Pence and Jesse Playle. Mom was an avid bird watcher and loved to have flowering plants around her. She was mother to six children, three boys and three girls. She couldn't make zucchini bread to save her soul, but baked the best chocolate chip cookies we ever ate! She loved to watch scary movies at night and would bribe Raymond to stay up and watch them with her. Mom loved the time she got to spend in Alaska with her brother, Jesse, and sister in law, Bonnie. She also loved to go shopping in Spokane with Doris Ann.
Dorothy is survived by her significant other William Howe, children Ruby Marie Cone, Raymond Edward Blurton, Mark Sherman Blurton, Alvin Lewis Emil, Dorothy Mae Davis and Carmen Leota Amell, brother Jesse Playle of Alaska and Josie Obrist of Washington, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruby Ann Pence and Jesse James Playle, son Alvin Lewis Emil, sister Doris Ann Reuter and brother Rodger Playle.
A potluck gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 2:00 PM at 645 Hwy 7, Tonasket, Washington.
