Donna Winslow, a 70-year resident of the Oroville/Tonasket community passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2026.

Donna was born in Gregory, South Dakota on Sept 11, 1935 to Chic and Ralph Vogt. She spent her young life and grade school years in Naper, Nebraska. Her family moved to Entiat, Washington in 1946, where she went to junior high and high school. She was very athletic and was a majorette and cheerleader at Entiat High school. She was very loved by all her classmates and stayed close to them throughout her life.

She met James “Butch” Winslow at Wenatchee Valley college, where she caught his eye when he was playing football and she was a cheerleader. He proposed three months later in his airplane above Wenatchee on March 30 th , 1955. He wouldn’t land until she said “Yes”. They had two girls, Jamie and Wendy Winslow. Butch and Donna moved to Tonasket and started their orchard business in 1955. She was the bookkeeper for Winslow Orchards and then later for the Tonoro Warehouse in Ellisforde, which they purchased in 1970.

In addition to helping run the business, she was very active in the community, and was a member of several clubs that she was very involved in. She was a Bluebird and Campfire leader and often spoke of her Little Blue Birds. She transported the Tonasket cheerleaders and gymnastic teams all over the state and became very close to all of them.

Donna was an avid bowler and golfer and won a number of tournaments that she participated in. She made a hole in one in a Canadian tournament, which was a highlight of her golfing career. She also enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, gardening, and playing gin.

She was a very active and proud mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren, Megan and Ryan Lally were the light of her life. She traveled throughout the Pacific Northwest to attend their sporting and scholastic events. She loved to travel and took many trips around the world with her family. Donna was very sociable, loved to have fun, and was always making those around her laugh. She enjoyed hosting many parties, functions, and celebrations at her home.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Jamie Westover, her two grandchildren, Megan (Kevin) Milliken, Ryan (Allison) Lally, their father, Terry Lally, two great grandchildren, Emma and Jack Lally, and her beloved dog, Annie. She was also blessed with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Donna will be remembered for her generous heart, her love of family and friends, her enthusiasm for life, and the countless people whose lives she touched along the way.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, October 3rd, at the Tonasket Cemetery, proceeded by a lunch and celebration of her life at the Hometown Pizza restaurant in Oroville.
