Donald "Don" Herbert Ivings passed away peacefully at Ferry County Memorial Hospital April 9, 2013 in Republic, Washington.  He was born July 11, 1931 to Edwin and Jennet (Ivings) of York, Ontario.  Don worked his entire life as a merchant seaman, traveling and living in many different parts of the world.  He enjoyed warm weather, hot tropical beaches, pretty women, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include; 1 son, Donald Tierney of Florida, 3 daughters, Margaret "Peggy" Hill of  Washington, Juanita Ivings of British Columbia and Donna Dayman.  2 brothers, Robert (Ivings) of Ontario, Canada and Lawrence (Ivings) of Washington.   Many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Patricia (Hamilton), Nancy (Agnew) and 1 grandson, William "Bill" (Hill).

A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
