Darlene Kay Gliddon, age 75, of Republic, WA died October 16, 2018 in Omak, WA. She was born on August 8, 1943 to parents Elbert Allen and Mary Elizabeth Hershberger (Martin) in Auburn, WA.
Darlene was born in Auburn and grew up in Kent Washington graduating from Kent High School in 1961. She then attended IBM Business College graduating in 1963. After holding various jobs in the Seattle area she decided to move to Republic in 1965 where she worked as an assistant to Dr. Thornton. In 1969, she married Rocky Gliddon. After their first two children were born, they moved to the coast for a short time where their third child was born before moving back to Republic to raise their three children. Darlene enjoyed being a stay at home mom, taking care of her family, and keeping up their home. In April 1994 they purchased and began operating the Klondike Motel where Darlene enjoyed meeting and interacting with the guests. After selling the motel in 2013, they bought a small farm west of town where they started the Two Creek Cattle Company. Darlene always had a fresh made tray of cookies for anyone that stopped by. Darlene loved her family and the friends in the truth.
She is survived by her husband James "Rocky" Gliddon, children; Roxie Gliddon, Dewie Edwards, Kenny (Tanna) Gliddon, siblings; Leland (Linda) Hershberger & Dennis (Jerri) Hershberger, and 5 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held Friday October 19th, 2018 at 11:00AM at the Wauconda Cemetery with Joyce Long & Kirstin Yung officiating.  A Potluck Luncheon will follow at the Wauconda Hall.
