Daniel William Carter passed away on June 25, 2012 in his home in Republic, WA. Dan was born to Bill and Ruth Carter in Spokane on June 20, 1958. He grew up in Republic and spent most of his adult life in the Curlew and Danville area, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and the solitude of the wild places. Dan received an Associates degree from Spokane Falls Community College and attended Eastern Washington State University.

Dan is survived by his sister, Deborah Doty of Mancos, CO; nieces, Kara Carter Chase of Ellensburg, WA; Olivia and Megan Doty of Ashland, OR; nephew Joseph Carter of Ephrata, WA.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tom.

Numerous cousins provided Dan with family support in his last years, especially, Mike and Joyce Dunn of Republic, WA.

Memorial Service will be at the Curlew Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Wed, Sept, 5, 2012. A gathering for family and friends will be held immediately following at the Curlew Civic Hall.
