Obituary


Dale R. Clarkson of Tonasket passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at North Valley Hospital in Tonasket. He was born September 11, 1941 in Tonasket to parents Walter E. and Phyllis B. (Johnson) Clarkson. At the age of eight he began working for his dad and brother sweeping and shoveling sawdust and mowing lawns. He bought his first property at the age of fourteen. Graduated from Tonasket High School and then married Patricia Glidden and they had two children, Mathew and Eric. He later married Vicki and he adopted Bob. Dale served Fire District #4 as a volunteer firefighter for over 50 years and also served as Fire Chief and Commissioner. He served as a Tonasket Hospital District Commissioner, Okanogan County Board of Equalization in 1998 and in 1995 on the Board of Adjustment. Dale served on the Tonasket City Council and as Mayor Pro Tem. He was a Mason and Shriner and a 34 year member of the Tonasket Eagles.

Dale is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Mathew, Eric and Bob; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his brother, Don and Aunt Gee along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother and sister in law Ken and Betty Clarkson.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 11:30 AM at the Tonasket Community Church with Pastor Leon Alden, officiating.
