Obituary

Craig Carl Anderson passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 after battling cancer for many years.  Craig was born in Republic, Washington on August 30, 1960 to Carl and Ruth Anderson.  He graduated from Republic High School in 1979.  He was proud to say he had a fulfilling career starting at the age of 14 at his family owned grocery store (Anderson's Grocery) for 21 years.

In 1986 he married Sandra "Sam" Jordan in Republic, Washington.  Together they had one daughter, Natalie.

After leaving Anderson's Grocery in 1995 he moved to Alaska and started a career in the Alaska North Slope oil fields.  After a 26-year career he retired, having made many friends along the way.  Craig was also a retired volunteer firefighter and served on many committee boards.

Throughout his life he enjoyed travelling, skiing, motorcycle riding and woodworking.  He was always quick to lend a helping hand or a smiling face.  His daughter and his grandchildren were his blessings in life.

Craig is survived by his mother Ruth Anderson; sister Julie Padilla (Marty); wife Sandra Jordan; daughter Natalie Anderson-Prevatte; son-in-law Adam Prevatte; grandchildren Cole and Piper Prevatte; and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Anderson and sister Carla Walton.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on December 14th at Republic Presbyterian Church, 605 South Keller Street in Republic.  In lieu of flowers, please bring a dessert to be served following the service.
