Colleen Love Pyatt-Picard, age 82, died September 14, 2018 at her home in Tonasket. She was born to parents Charles H. Love & Martha Burge on February 19, 1936 in Los Altos, CA. She married Paul Dean Pyatt in 1952 and the lived on a ranch in Aeneas Valley for 28 years where they raised cattle and hay. They raised 165 bucket calves in 1960. Paul died of heart trouble in 1975.
Colleen worked at the hospital laundry in St. Martin's in Tonasket and later worked for Smith & Nelson Warehouse. She met and married Calvin Picard in 1978. They loved fishing and hunting together. Calvin died of five cancers in 2007. Colleen took care of him at home & he died in his home.
Colleen lost both of her sons; Michael Dean Pyatt in 1983 and Kim L. Pyatt in 2015. Both her mother and her father passed away. She leaves behind 1 sister Darlene Tracey and her husband Robert Tracey, 3 nephews and 1 niece on the Tracey side of the family, 2 nieces and 1 nephew on the Pyatt side, 1 step-sister Tina, 2 step-brothers Lucky and Jerry, 1 step-daughter Marlene Picard and her 3 children, and her dear little dog Muffin.
Colleen loved to travel. She has been to see Alaska twice, Washington, D.C., Mt. Rushmore with her sister, Reno NV, and Yuma, AZ to her sister's on Christmas. She also visited the Oregon coast, the Redwood Forest, the tulip fields in Mt. Vernon with her friend Lois Molenda. She loved her yard and home that Calvin Picard left her.
"I had 2 wonderful, loving husbands, 2 wonderful sons, and lots of good friends. I had a wonderful and happy life."
A graveside service will be held Friday September 21 st , 2018 at 1:00PM at the Tonasket Cemetery with Pastor Claude Roberts Officiating. In lieu of flowers, she asked that you make a donation to the Cancer Society, Our House (Cancer Care of NCW, Inc.), or charity of your choice.Tonasket Cemetery
