Cleora Levonn Smith, 75, of Oroville, passed away May 6, 2012 at home. She was born July 31, 1936 in Wyandotte, Oklahoma to parents Charles Olemun and Cora Harris.

Cleora was born in Oklahoma but lived in Missouri near Joplin. Her family traveled a lot when she was a child; they moved to Idaho, then Oregon where her sister and brother live, then settled in Oroville in 1969. She was an upholsterer, recovering a lot of furniture for many people in the Oroville area. She had a great sense of humor and loved having fun. She liked fishing, reading and was an avid gardener, participating in the local farmers marker for over the last 15 years. She was much loved by her family and friends. She was the matriarch of her family holding it all together for so many years. She will be greatly missed.

Cleora is survived by her beloved and loving husband, John Lenz; her children: Penny Allard (Stephen Wise), Jessica Russell (William Nicholson), Leonard Russell, Mary Capote, and Adam Capote; Siblings: Darlene Marton, Kenneth Robinson and Larry Robinson; Grandchildren: Cori and Steven Thompson, Jennifer Hilton, Sarah and Joshua Julsonnet, Justin Thompson, Christopher Stembaugh, Adriana Capote, Nathan Thompson, Adam Capote, Andrew Worthen, Melanie Thompson, Julie Charles, Brayden Thompson, Bryan Recek and Ashten Hulton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Cora; Brothers: Robert Studdard and Charles Oleman; Sisters: Wanda Carlson, Laura Campbell, Mary Cola and Barbara Holcomb.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Claude Roberts officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held at Bergh's Chapel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 10.
