Claire Jean Grimm, a longtime resident of Republic, Washington, passed away on October 14, 2024 just short of her 99th birthday. "Jean" was born on October 27, 1925 to Clare and Ella Dunlap in Molson, Washington graduating from Omak High School in 1946.

Jean married Roy "Brownie" Grimm on October 26, 1946, where they settled in Oroville welcoming their eldest daughter, Lynn in 1951.

In 1951, the family moved to Republic where their son Royce was born in 1955 and in 1957 the family was completed with the addition of twin daughters, Denece and Denene. Jean worked for The Outfitters, retiring from the Town of Republic after over 20 years of service.

In 2017, she moved to Okanogan to be near her daughters. In 2023, she moved into the Apple Springs facility in Omak where she lived the rest of her days with some new and some old friends.

Jean enjoyed playing bridge and traveling to all the rodeos and barrel racings to cheer on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She could always be found in the stands keeping track of the times and scores from the day.

Jean is survived by her daughters Lynn Beck (Ken), Denece Ralston (Doug), Denene Douglas (Sonny), grandchildren Gerry Bremner (Katy), Jaki Polich (Kyle), Jud Ralston (Alissa), Jolene Hoburg (Kelly) and Lacey Ralston, and great grandchildren Koby, Jori, Kassidy, Raegan and Jay.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Brownie, her mother and father, sister Leila, and son Royce.

A memorial will be held at the Saturday October 26, 2024 at the Northern Inn in Republic, Washington at 10:30 a.m. with lunch to follow at The Eagles on Knob Hill Rd, Republic, Washington. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Republic Cemetery.
