Christa Bardonski age 98 of Oroville died on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the North Valley Hospital in Tonasket.  She was born on December 25, 1912 in Fordland, Missouri to parents Fount and Effie Frazier.  Christa came to Washington in the spring of 1931.  She worked in the apple industry until moving to Seattle.  While in Seattle she met Frank Bardonski and they were married on December 20, 1941 in Seattle.  In 1945, they returned to Oroville and owned and operated an orchard until 1991.  They enjoyed hunting, fishing and several trips to Alaska.  Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death in February of 1992 and Christa remained on the family farm.  She enjoyed taking a very special vacation to Australia with a lifelong friend.  Christa enjoyed many meals at the Oroville Senior Center.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011  2:00 PM at the Oroville Riverview Cemetery with John Rounds, officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Oroville Senior Center.
