Charles "Chuck"
E. Weller
December 8, 1933 – September 15, 2024
On September 15, 2024, after a brief illness, Charles E. Weller went to Heaven to be with his Lord and loving wife, Rella. Chuck was born December 8, 1933 in Walkerton, Indiana. He was the 3rd child of seven born to Erness and Mary Weller. The family moved to Tonasket, WA in 1944 and Chuck graduated from Tonasket High School in 1951. He was an outstanding athlete in football. During those years he met the love of his life, Rella Morgan and they were married April 4, 1953. Two children were of this union, son David and daughter Danette. Chuck was an extremely hard worker, committed to doing the job the right way. Chuck worked for Jack Saltsman at his Central Service Center and went on to work for Verbeck Bro's for many years. Following that Chuck worked in Alaska and finished his working years by running his own trucking business. He loved antique cars and trucks, spending many hours overhauling and building Model T's, the pride of them all being his logging truck.
He was a kind, honest man and lived his life with the love of God and was a long-time member of the Free Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Chuck was a regular at the morning "coffee klatsch" spending many hours bantering with his friends that provided the opportunity to share their memories of lives well lived.
Chuck was preceded in death by his wife Rella, parents Erness and Mary Weller, son David, brother George, and sisters Leona Weller and June Malstaff. He is survived by his daughter Danette Weller, grandchildren Brandon (Katie) Weller and Brandi (Tracy) Harpe, great-grandchildren: Westin, Bryant, & RaeAnn Weller, sister Mildred Browning of Cashmere, sister-in-law Charlene Weller of Wenatchee, brothers Gene of Republic and Ron of Tonasket, brother-in-law Gail Malstaff of Walkerton, Indiana, and many adoring nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday September 24, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Tonasket Free Methodist Church with Pastor Ron Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Tonasket Cemetery with a luncheon to follow back at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Kiwanis Club, PO Box 2117 Tonasket, WA 98855 or Tonasket High School Agricultural Program (Tractor Restoration).
