Obituary

Carol Lee Magers passed away January 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, friendship and devotion to those she loved.

Carol Lee was born on June 18, 1941, in Republic, Washington, to Lee and Helen Fowler. She grew up in Republic, where she attended school and graduated high school. After graduation, she went on to Kinman Business School. Following her studies, Carol worked at the Miller Law Office in Ritzville, where she met the love of her life, John W. Magers.

Carol Lee and John were married and later welcomed two sons, Wade in 1966 and Travis in 1969. Throughout their married life, they lived in several communities including Grand Coulee Dam, Odessa, Northport, Almira and Republic. John served the area schools as a teacher, counselor, principal and school superintendent. While raising her boys, Carol Lee worked as a secretary at the Odessa and Colville medical clinics.

Carol Lee formed lifelong friendships in every town she lived in, a true testament to her bubbly personality, kind heart and welcoming spirit. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel at home and valued. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandsons. Colton, Devin and Camryn were the light of her life, and she rarely missed a sporting event or activity they participated in. She was recently blessed with a great-granddaughter, Weslynn, and was incredibly proud to welcome a new little girl into the Magers family.

Carol Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Helen Fowler; her brother, Gary Fowler; and her beloved husband, John. She is survived by her son Wade (Penny); grandsons Colton (Shila) and Devin; great-granddaughter Weslynn; her son Travis (Lacie); and grandson Camryn (Aili).

Grandma Carol Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory and legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and the many lives she touched.

A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring.
