Carlene Yvonne Koontz, age 54, of Republic died December 5, 2019 at her home in Republic. She was born March 28, 1965 in Spokane to parents Charles and Sharon (Fischer) Koontz.

Carlene was baptized in Spokane and received Holy Communion at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Republic. She began school in Spokane and after kindergarten attended Republic schools where she later graduated from Republic High School. Carlene had a special love for children and operated an in-home childcare. She was a member of the Holy Catholic Church and 4-H.

She is survived by her mother Sharon Koontz and sister Charlotte R. Koontz. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her father Chuck Koontz.

A memorial service will be held Monday December 23, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Richard G. Semple, Jr. officiating.
