Billy Preston Wilson, age 74, passed away January 31 st , 2019 at his home in Tonasket, WA surrounded by his family.
Billy was born May 9 th , 1944 in Wister, OK to Press and Leatha Wilson.
As a teenager he taught himself to play the guitar and played and sang in various bands in Wyoming, California, and Washington. He passed his love of playing and singing on to his children.
Billy married Rosa Pipkin on December 5 th, 1960 in Wenatchee. From this union were born four children: Dina, Joe, Rob, and Suzi. Besides playing music, Billy loved to hunt and fish and really loved hunting for those elusive morel mushrooms every spring.
The eighth of nine children, Billy was the last to pass over. He rejoins: his parents, 5 brothers Frank, Oscar, Haskell, Huston, & Marvin, 3 sisters Eunice Draper, Gladys Jones, and Mary Ann Roche, and several nieces and nephews who went on ahead.
He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, his children: Dina (Larry) Palmer of Omak, Joe Wilson of Oroville, Rob (Erica) Wilson of Tonasket, and Suzi (Bryan) Taft of Malaga, 5 grandsons Jeramie, Jordan, Elliot, Waylon, and A.J., 5 granddaughters Jennifer, Haily, Sami, Brandi, and Jamie, great-grandson James, 6 great-granddaughters Anna, Madison, Maycee, Bailey, and last but not least, the twins Billie and Shelby. He will be remembered by numerous friends and family members who will tell the story of his life into infinity. At his request, there will be no services.
