Billie Marion (Hatfield) VanSlyke passed away at home in Republic, WA surrounded by her family and the love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus. Her spiritual journey was accelerated by a terminal diagnosis of lung cancer, but with eager anticipation she sought the promise of redemption. Her faith in the work of Christ and his promise of salvation provided comfort through this trial. At 4:00 AM on March 3 ^rd , 2023 she was granted the gift of rest, as the weight of this life was lifted from her.

She is survived by a multitude of friends and loved ones including children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her brother and her best friend, James Hatfield. For those left behind, her wish would be that they seek the Love and forgiveness of the Creator; and once forgiven, to forgive others as he has forgiven them. She intentionally sought the opportunity to have final conversations with many of her cherished friends, with the hope that they would someday share her faith.

Billie remembered every birthday and anniversary; she took photos of every memory and printed them all. She always had a word of encouragement and a smile to share if you were sad. Her absence leaves a cold, empty void in the hearts of all who loved her. She will be dearly missed.

Graveside services will be held at the Republic Cemetery on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with a time of celebration, remembrance and fellowship at the Merry-go-Round building at the Ferry County Fair Grounds. All are welcome.
