Benny Stotts age 59 of Malo passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at his home in Malo.  He was born on June 25, 1954 in Republic to parents John Ray and Doris Stotts.  Benny was raised in Curlew.  At age 18, he went to Nevada to work on high power electric lines.  He moved back to the Curlew area and worked at San Poil Lumber, Hecla Mines and then returned to the family business, driving trucks and operating heavy equipment.  He married Glenna Francis and together they had 1 son, BJ.  Benny was a member of the Republic Eagles.  He enjoyed his motorcycles and benefit rides.  He especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by:

1 Son:  BJ of Spokane

3 Step Children:  Chad, Rachel and Riggs Flom

3 Brothers:  John of Malo, Tom of Spokane and Rob of Republic

Many step grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Georgia Heyer and Tillie Biddlen

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014  11:00 AM at the Curlew High School.  Memorials may be made to any local food bank.
