Ardith Kathryn Nelson, age 81, of Oroville died August 6, 2011 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. She was born May 23, 1930 at home, in Boy River, Minnesota to Brad and Mae Robinson.

Ardith moved with her family to Oroville in 1943 where she attended Oroville School until she met her husband Warren "PeeWee" Nelson. They were married in 1947 and started a family the following year. She began working in the warehouses at the age of 13 and worked there until she retired. She enjoyed gardening, collecting and restoring dolls, and spending time with her family. She was well known by all for her doll collections and had many who would bring her dolls they had found for her to clean and restore. There was always family and friends dropping in and visiting around their dining room table. She will be missed by all!

Children: Michael W. Nelson (Donna), Kathryn A. Howe, Jackie J. Nelson (Theresa), Jerry L. Nelson (Jina), Danny R. Nelson (Georgia), Scott E. Nelson (Sarah) all of Oroville

Sisters: Evonne O'Neil, Ora Mae Kitterman (both of Oroville) and Gertrude Meese of Tonasket

Grandchildren: Michael Nelson (Carmen), Myra Anderson, Melissa (Peter) South, Erica (Walter) McKinney, Robin (Matt) Shellenbarger, Morgan Nelson all of Oroville, Robert Howe of Idaho, David (Flora) Howe of Omak, Casey (Sara) Howe, Cory (Lacey) Howe, of Oroville, Christopher (Brenda) Howe of Spokane, Joey (Bevin) Nelson of Oroville, Katie (Matt) Stinson of Fairbanks, AK, Andrea Nelson of Spokane, WA, Kelly (Mike) Woodard of Spokane, WA, Jerry Nelson Jr of Alabama, Tom (Olivia) Nelson of North Pole, AK, Tim (Holly) Nelson of Spokane, Terry Nelson, Tamara Nelson, Katelyn Nelson, Kimberly Nelson all of Oroville, adopted grand children Joe and John.

And numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

SERVICES

Memorial Services will be held Friday, August 12, 2011, 11:00 AM at the Oroville Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Claude Roberts officiating.
