Amanda Rae Chavez was born December 16, 1984 in Tonasket, Washington. She died August 24, 2023 at 3:30 AM in her Tonasket, Washington home.
The third of 12 children, Amanda was born and raised in Okanogan County. She graduated from Omak High School in 2003, and went on to get her Associate of Technical Science in Accounting at Wenatchee Valley College North in 2013. Amanda was well known as a pharmacy technician, where she touched many lives and is remembered warmly by her coworkers. Everyone whose lives she touched became like family to her, and family was always central to Amanda's life. She was always the first to celebrate and elevate all that she loved, and will always be fondly remembered for making birthdays and other life events special for everyone around her.
Although Amanda did not have children of her own, she always adored her younger siblings and was an irreplaceable part of all her nieces and nephew's lives. There was never a child in her life that Amanda didn't celebrate. Amanda was always incredibly friendly and generous; she would help out everyone she knew however she could and was kind to all in her life. She loved her extended family as well, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Amanda leaves behind her a legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and warm memories of a beautiful person who will always be cherished by all who knew her.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Bulmaro and Shawn Chavez; her siblings, Clarrissa, Julia, Homero, Simon, Maria-Elena, Cruz, Pablo, Anna, Antonio, Bautista, and Bulmaro; and her nieces and nephews: Leo, Tifara, Esperanza, Joseph, Orion; Eliazar, Alex, Raul, Elysia; Emmarie, Mia, Julian, Ayden; Abel, Aria; Ezekiel; Bennett, Scarlett.
A viewing will be held at Bergh Chapel (801 Main St, Oroville, WA 98844) on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Iglesia Del Tercer Dia - Assemblies of God Church (25 E 4th St, Tonasket, WA 98855) at 10:00 AM. Following the funeral service, Amanda will be laid to rest at the Omak Memorial Cemetery (2517 Elmway St, Okanogan, WA 98840).
Following the services, family and friends are invited back to Amanda's parents' home (19 Crumbacher Rd, Tonasket, WA 98855) for a time of remembrance at 5:00 PM.
