Alana Lea Strauch passed away peacefully November 6 ^th at her home in Republic, WA.  She was 72 years old.

Alana was born July 23 ^rd , 1949 to parents Albert and Anna Mae Hougland, in Republic WA. She attended Republic Elementary School until 3 ^rd grade when she moved to Keller. From 8 ^th -10 ^th grade Alana was at Annie Wright Seminary in Tacoma, WA and finished High School in Grand Coulee graduating class of 1967. From there she went on to attend Whitworth University.

On August 12, 1972 Alana married Ray "Buck" Strauch. They spent the early years of their marriage making memories in the US Virgin Islands, Pennsylvania and Kansas before returning to Washington and settling down in Republic.

Alana was very active in the Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, was the President of Ladies Aid, an active member of Session and was an Elder. She rarely missed a service always sitting in the back pew on the right. She was involved in the youth baseball program, the historical society and the Eagle Track Raceway. Most summer Saturdays she could be found counting laps in the "Yak Shack" and ending the day racing in the Powder Puff.

Alana is preceded in death by her parents Al and Anna Mae, siblings Earl "Flip" Hougland, Dick Pooler and her husband Buck Strauch.

She is survived by her son Andy Strauch of Republic and his wife Nicole, daughter Raeann Olson of Moses Lake and her husband Eddie. Siblings Virginia Barry, Andy Pooler, and Jackie Ross. And her grandchildren Connor, Colton, Caden and Aspen.

Funeral services will be held at the Republic Presbyterian Church December 11 ^th at 11:00 with burial following at the Republic Cemetery.
